The Book
This is the first volume from a new series of illustrated books, tracing the life and times of a modern gentleman. Edward is a man about town. He is educated, cultured with an eye for beauty and he has a fascination with history and people. These books are a collection of whimsical illustrations of Edward’s adventures as imagined by the illustrator Robin Lucas.
About the series
Later in the series we will explore further afield, such as the rolling Tuscan countryside with its mediaeval hill towns, or the delights of India with its rich layers of history and magnificent wildlife. The aim of this project is to produce a series of small sketchbooks that give a real flavor of iconic places around the world through the eyes of our modern gentleman.

An illustrator and designer, Robin studied biology at Oxford before pursuing his creative path. From an early age, he has always had a sketchbook on the go and holds a particular fascination for art, architecture, natural history, and food.
An avid gardener, Robin is never happier than planting bulbs or deadheading dahlias. Illustrator Publisher, marketer and cultural devourer, Francois’s main occupation is to read. When he does not read, he is also a big movie fan .. and reads about them. Francois curiosity about things and people are what motivates him to learn and now write. Editor Independent art director, designer and photographer, Daniel is passionate about all things visual, though considers music to be his main support in creating concepts, images and spaces. Designer A Yorkshireman living in London. Matt can often be found exploring his city (and beyond). He takes inspiration from different environments to develop his writing and creative work.
